Dubai residents can look forward to a long weekend in September 2025, as the Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has officially declared Friday, September 5, 2025, a public holiday. The announcement was made in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), observed on 13th Rabi Al Awwal 1447 AH.

The 12th of Rabi Al Awwal holds great importance in the Islamic calendar as it marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). Such institutions will continue to function, ensuring uninterrupted access to vital facilities across the city.
